A valuable prize for the final of this series, the expected tightly-knit field assembled, but it was an unsatisfactory event, the pace steady with those held up left with a hopeless task, the first 2 always well positioned, and the third shaped like the best at the weights all told.

ALL YOURS (FR) completed the hat-trick, in a deeper race than for his previous 2 wins, though with everything going his way, well positioned and with a test of speed suiting him ideally; tracked pace, travelled fluently, edged ahead over 1f out, tackled soon after and all out to hold on, proving game; racing on all-weather clearly suits him well, but it's not hard to think that he'll be vulnerable next time.

CREATIONIST (USA) well backed, ran his best race, the breathing operation seemingly the making of him, though he was seen to maximum effect having been well positioned; tracked pace, every chance under 2f out, kept on, just failed; he's at least likely to continue in form.

GOOD TIDINGS (FR) in first-time visor, went like the best horse at the weights, saying plenty that he probably ought to have won despite how free he was; awkward leaving stalls, mid-field, pulled hard, had to wait for gap over 2f out, headway over 1f out, kept on well, nearest at the finish; there's a bigger performance still in the locker on this evidence, still with unfinished business at 1½m, too, provided he settles better than on this occasion.

EMIRATES KNIGHT (IRE) wasted no time getting back to form, seen to maximum effect having had the run of the race, probably not much more than averagely treated in the wider scheme; dictated, travelled well, headed over 1f out, one paced.

COSMEAPOLITAN back to form over hurdles last time, shaped encouragingly back on the Flat, totally unsuited by the way this developed but finishing to good effect; raced off the pace, outpaced 3f out, kept on well final 1f, never nearer; he's one to be interested in again.

LAWN RANGER wasted no time getting back on track, but was better placed than a fair few and doesn't look well treated now; raced wide, soon in touch, took strong hold, ridden 2f out, one paced.

KYLLACHY GALA probably remains in form, left poorly placed and likely to have benefited from a stronger gallop given his style; raced off the pace, ridden over 2f out, kept on, never landed a blow.

KITAABAAT easy to back, shaped as if still in good form, having a hopeless task from his position; dropped out, still plenty to do 2f out, ran on, never landed a blow; he still looks on a fair mark.

ISLAND BRAVE (IRE) is best not judged on this run, well positioned on the face of it but a test of speed at this trip just isn't what he wants; close up, outpaced 2f out, kept on again final 1f.

ESCAPABILITY (IRE) below expectations on hurdling debut, underperformed returned to the Flat with headgear back on, too keen for his own good; in touch, took strong hold, chased leaders 2f out, weakened final 1f.

THE PINTO KID (FR) can have a line put through this run, left poorly placed and hardly the sort to be suited by a test of speed back down in trip; in rear, brief headway over 1f out, never landed a blow.

JUST THE MAN (FR) is better judged on previous form (when beating Good Tidings), having no chance from his position; raced off the pace, took strong hold, made no impression but not persevered with once held.

FIRE FIGHTING (IRE) ran no sort of race after 5 months off, left with something to prove after such a display; ridden early, soon in mid-field but caught wide, pushed along over 3f out, carried head awkwardly, weakened 2f out.
