The first 2 pulled clear in this useful handicap and though they are both 6-y-os, neither has had a lot of racing for their age, so the form could prove a bit better than it appears at first glance, even with several disappointments in behind.

POSITIVE followed up from last time and had to battle, his career firmly back on track now; mid-field, pushed along over 2f out, headway over 1f out, challenged inside final 1f, led line.

NAVAL COMMANDER looked the likely winner for much of the final 1f and proved better than ever in a stronger race than he need contest; chased leaders, ridden 2f out, led over 1f out, edged out line, pulled clear of remainder.
