, a 5-time winner in Qatar, including twice this year, confirmed that she's still a useful filly as she got back to winning ways on her first outing since leaving I. Al Malki, another feather in the cap of her trainer to have her at her best returning from 7 months off; chased leader, pushed along 3f out, stayed on to lead late on, got first run on second and unlucky fourth.

shaped similarly to last time, but again a steadily-run race at this trip didn't see him to best effect, particularly given that he was held up off the pace this time and conceded first run; held up, raced freely, headway from home turn, ran on; he's arguably better at 1½m, and the listed race at Kempton over that trip later in the day would arguably have been a better spot for him.

was easy to back and proved a let-down in attempting to win this race for a second year in succession, very much having the run of things but unable to put a seal on matters; dictated, quickened 3f out, headed inside final 100 yds, one paced; his standout effort this year was gained on dirt and he'd have a fair bit to prove if kept to a synthetic surface next time.

has a good record at this track and remains in good form, unlucky not to finish closer after caught further back than ideal and also meeting trouble; dropped out, not settle fully, still plenty to do home turn and keeping on well when short of room late on.

without the headgear but in a first-time tongue strap this time, seemed to run respectably on first outing since leaving Aidan O'Brien, but it's anything but solid stuff; slowly into stride, mid-field, ridden over 3f out, not quicken.

A muddling conditions race, Toast Of New York dictating a slow pace and the field finishing in a heap, certainly not a race to be drawing too many firm conclusions from.

MANGO TANGO (FR) , a 5-time winner in Qatar, including twice this year, confirmed that she's still a useful filly as she got back to winning ways on her first outing since leaving I. Al Malki, another feather in the cap of her trainer to have her at her best returning from 7 months off; chased leader, pushed along 3f out, stayed on to lead late on, got first run on second and unlucky fourth.
