was well backed and ran close to his very best as he got off the mark for the season, his trainer worth plenty of credit for getting him back after a washout 4-y-o campaign; chased leader, challenged from 2f out, edged ahead final strides, battled well; he'll be at least as good at 1½m.

A fairly useful handicap which went the way of the well-backed favourite, Prince of Harts getting on top of the long-time leader on the line, the pair pulling clear; the field were strung out by halfway but the pace held up.

PRINCE OF HARTS was well backed and ran close to his very best as he got off the mark for the season, his trainer worth plenty of credit for getting him back after a washout 4-y-o campaign; chased leader, challenged from 2f out, edged ahead final strides, battled well; he'll be at least as good at 1½m.

GALACTIC GLOW (IRE) turned in his best effort of the season, sticking to his task remarkably well given how keen he was in the early stages; led, raced freely, tackled from 2f out, kept on well, edged out final strides.

APRICOT MOON ran respectably having been dropped another 3 lb, probably doing about as well as she could given how the race unfolded; mid-division, headway out wide over 1f out, edged right inside final 1f, kept on, never a threat.

GLEN ESK shaped as if still in good form; waited with, headway out wide 2f out, ridden over 1f out, not sustain effort, best of those held up.

MAORI KNIGHT (IRE) probably remains in form; mid-division, headway 4f out, weakening when carried left over 1f out, not persevered with once held.

STARRY EYES (USA) should strip fitter for the run after 5 months off; held up, kept on gradually final 1f, never on .

LADY RESET a winner over jumps since last seen on the Flat, produced a rare below-par effort; held up, ridden over 2f out, made no impression.

STOPNSEARCH again ran below form; mid-division, raced freely, ridden over 2f out, weakening when hung left over 1f out.

GERTCHA (IRE) after 13 weeks off, again ran a long below his debut form; prominent, raced freely, weakened over 2f out.

NUMBERONESON (IRE) fared no better back on the level; waited with, dropped away 3f out.
