went one better than on chasing debut, clearly having come on plenty for that initial experience, not least in the jumping department; never far away, not fluent fifth (jumped fine otherwise), edged ahead 5 out, kicked on 3 out, well on top finish; the handicapper may take a dim view given the nature of this victory, though there is the chance of him being turned out again in the next week or so under a penalty (already holds an entry for Ffos Las at the weekend) and he is open to further improvement.

was easy to back after 7 months off and given a considerate introduction to chasing; played up beforehand, in rear, went third 2 out, kept on, not knocked about; seems sure to do better.

shaped as if needing the run sent chasing after 6 months off; held up, not fluent seventh, went handy early in straight, dropped away before 2 out; he's a chaser on looks, and should improve.

An interesting novice handicap, the sextet split equally between those with chasing experience and those without, the prominently-ridden winner jumping with much more fluency than in his previous race over fences.

DATSALRIGHTGINO (GER) went one better than on chasing debut, clearly having come on plenty for that initial experience, not least in the jumping department; never far away, not fluent fifth (jumped fine otherwise), edged ahead 5 out, kicked on 3 out, well on top finish; the handicapper may take a dim view given the nature of this victory, though there is the chance of him being turned out again in the next week or so under a penalty (already holds an entry for Ffos Las at the weekend) and he is open to further improvement.

CALICO (GER) ran to a similar level as on chasing bow with a recent good run over hurdles under his belt; in touch, mistake third, second when jumped left 2 out, kept on, no impression on winner.

TRAPISTA (FR) was easy to back after 7 months off and given a considerate introduction to chasing; played up beforehand, in rear, went third 2 out, kept on, not knocked about; seems sure to do better.

NO RISK DES FLOS (FR) shaped as if needing the run sent chasing after 6 months off; held up, not fluent seventh, went handy early in straight, dropped away before 2 out; he's a chaser on looks, and should improve.

DIBBLE DECKER (IRE) fared even worse than on chasing debut; soon led, jumped right at times, headed 5 out, weakening when hampered 3 out.

TRIPLE TRADE failed to complete sent chasing after 8 months off; settled in touch, off the bridle before most, third when fell 3 out, too far out to suggest outcome.
