who has been crying out for a step up to this sort of trip for a while now, posted a career best tackling her elders for the first time, and will be the one to beat in the Irish Oaks here next month, the way she finished her race out here suggesting the step up to 1½m won't hold any fears; tracked pace, switched under 2f out, produced to lead entering final 1f, edged right, driven out.

ran at least as well as last time, as consistent as they come at this level, some late interference making no difference to her finishing position; led early, remained prominent, loomed up early in straight, went on 2f out, headed entering final 1f, held when hampered final 100 yds.

arguably unlucky in the Epsom Oaks last time, had no such excuses on this occasion, ridden more patiently dropped in trip but unable to find a change of gear when push came to shove; held up, pushed along entering straight, effort 2f out, one paced, had every chance; will prove suited by a return to 1½m, but will need to find improvement from somewhere if she is to turn around this form with Iridessa in the Irish Oaks.

A small but select field for the latest renewal of this Group 1, the favourite, Pink Dogwood - who had finished a close second in the Epsom Oaks last time, the only member of the quintet not previously successful in pattern company, but it was the other member of the classic generation that emerged victorious, Iridessa relishing the step up to this trip.
