took the step up to Group 1 company in his stride, producing a complete performance tackling softer ground, moving to the lead most fluently but also able to knuckle down and find for pressure when challenged by the second, asserting close home, and he's got even bigger performances in him, especially as he'll likely stay further when required; held up, travelled well, good headway inside 2f out, led 1f out, challenged strongly by runner-up inside final 1f but kept on well, pushed out in command close home; exciting prospect.

continues his progression and looked well at home at this top level, mounting a strong challenge inside the final 1f but seen off by one of the best around, losing nothing in defeat; mid-field, headway 2f out, challenged inside final 1f, kept on; open to further improvement and will remain of interest.

ran well tackling softer ground but was outpaced by the first 2 when the race really got going, sticking on thereafter and crying out for the step up to 7f; led until over 1f out, driven, switched inside final 1f, kept on, saddle reportedly slipped leaving stalls; open to further progress upped to 7f+.

Plenty to like about the 3 smart sorts that came clear individually but the winner continues to show no signs of weakeness and was going away at the finish to continue his perfect record up into Group 1 company, knuckling down to see off a meaningful challenge from the runner-up.

SISKIN (USA) took the step up to Group 1 company in his stride, producing a complete performance tackling softer ground, moving to the lead most fluently but also able to knuckle down and find for pressure when challenged by the second, asserting close home, and he's got even bigger performances in him, especially as he'll likely stay further when required; held up, travelled well, good headway inside 2f out, led 1f out, challenged strongly by runner-up inside final 1f but kept on well, pushed out in command close home; exciting prospect.

MONARCH OF EGYPT (USA) continues his progression and looked well at home at this top level, mounting a strong challenge inside the final 1f but seen off by one of the best around, losing nothing in defeat; mid-field, headway 2f out, challenged inside final 1f, kept on; open to further improvement and will remain of interest.

ROYAL LYTHAM (FR) ran well tackling softer ground but was outpaced by the first 2 when the race really got going, sticking on thereafter and crying out for the step up to 7f; led until over 1f out, driven, switched inside final 1f, kept on, saddle reportedly slipped leaving stalls; open to further progress upped to 7f+.
