Plenty failed to fire on the day, including some that looked to have a good form chance, and though a useful race it probably won't prove a notably strong 0-95 whilst the form isn't sure to hold up when conditions inevitably dry out over the coming weeks.

HULCOTE was well backed and got back on the up, seeming to relish the more testing ground than she'd tackled before (sole previous win came on good to soft); chased leaders, shaken up 2f out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds, driven out.

THISTIMENEXTYEAR fit from jumps, goes well in the mud and showed improved form back on the Flat; mid-division, travelled well, headway to lead over 2f out, headed final 100 yds, kept on.
