followed up from last time under contrasting conditions, that Southwell form having worked out very well; disputed lead, jumped soundly, went on fourteenth, shaken up after 4 out, drew clear before last, won readily; this was uncompetitive but he's clearly going the right way and will be of interest again.

back in a visor having worn cheekpieces for his reent jumpers bumper win, ran better than for a while in a chase but was swatted aside at the end of an uncompetitive race, so it remains to be seen if this is anything to build on; disputed lead, not fluent thirteenth, fourteenth, outpaced home turn, rallied briefly 2 out, left behind by winner before last.

might have needed the run after 5 months off, perhaps tuning up for some bigger targets, though he's gone well fresh in the past and it'd be stretching it to describe this effort as encouraging; in touch, shaken up fourteenth, reminders home turn, made little impression.

A poor turnout for the money and the favourite always looked in control from 5 out, neither of the other 2 finishers doing much to think they're well treated at the minute.
