A long-standing feature on this card, the race back as a Final for the first time in several years and looking competitive beforehand, though with the top weight off a lower mark than for any recent running; the pace was good and the winner thrived under such circumstances, blowing the field apart and showing marked improvement, though it might well have been a much closer finish had She Mite Bite not gone wrong when going best 2 out.

ANNIE MC (IRE) wasted no time regaining a very progressive thread, extremely well suited by the way the race developed, a truly-run affair bringing out all her ability; held up, tanked along, good progress 3 out, ridden next, led soon after, clear run-in, well on top finish; she faces a hike in the weights, but she may well have still more to offer under the right circumstances, potential for chasing next season, too.

SIXTY'S BELLE one of the least exposed, making handicap debut after just the minimum 3 runs, was no match for the winner but shaped encouragingly, particularly with a step up in trip in mind, qualified as she is for lower-grade races; waited with, shaken up approaching straight, not quicken 3 out, kept on well run-in, took second final 100 yds; will be suited by 2¾m+.

OUR DOT'S BABY (IRE) ran at least as well as previously, fully confirming the improvement shown under this rider last time, sticking to her task well in front and by no means flattered by making the running; led, took keen hold, ridden after 3 out, hung left, headed soon after 2 out, not quicken.

OFF THE HOOK (IRE) ran well after 8 weeks off, back in handicaps off a mark fully 19 lb higher than when tried previously; in touch, effort 3 out, challenged 2 out, not quicken approaching last; will stay beyond 2½m; she's likely to continue to run with credit.

OSCAR ROSE (IRE) thoroughly exposed, managed a position better than she had in this race last season, though she didn't run so well in form , never looking likely to get involved, under a 7-lb claimer for the first time; off pace, labouring home turn, kept on after 2 out.

A LITTLE CHAOS (IRE) making handicap debut, was well held, not sure to be effective over the 4f longer trip, though she looks to have a particularly stiff opening mark as well; prominent, off the bridle before most, weakening when not fluent 2 out.

MILLARVILLE (IRE) making handicap debut, looks on a stiff mark and made little impact; held up, ridden when hampered approaching straight, plugged on, never a threat.

SWEET ADARE (IRE) upped in trip making handicap debut, was well held, soon left toiling when the principals pressed on; prominent, ridden approaching straight, left behind after 3 out.

OUTOFTHISWORLD (IRE) ran poorly in first-time cheekpieces; held up, took keen hold, ridden before home turn, left behind straight.

THE WHITE MOUSE (IRE) making handicap debut, failed to complete, her mark looking a fair one, though she was already having to work when she departed through no fault of her own; mid-division, took keen hold, lost place when ridden after seventh, brought down approaching straight.

ETAMINE DU COCHET (FR) in first-time tongue strap, was having to work hard to hold her position when she clipped heels before the straight, seeming unlikely to have been involved in the finish on handicap debut; held up, ridden seventh, struggling when hampered and unseated home turn.

SO LONELY (IRE) appeared to find this way too competitive from just out of the handicap; dropped out, labouring after seventh, pulled up before last.

MEEP MEEP (IRE) making handicap debut, is on a good mark on her bumper form, but she ran no sort of race after 3 months off; held up, never travelling well, behind when pulled up before 3 out.

SHE MITE BITE (IRE) met misfortune again when poised to show improved form, suffering a pelvic injury when going best 2 out, likely to have been a good second at worst had she completed; handy, travelled strongly, going well when went wrong after 2 out, pulled up.
