proved a different proposition just when it looked like he'd hit the buffers, no rarity with this yard, doing plenty (took strong hold) in front yet having enough left to maintain his advantage after quickening for home over 2f out; he's raced only 5 times, all at 7f, but he shapes as if shorter wouldn't trouble him.

shaped really encouragingly with headgear removed on his first outing since leaving Marco Botti, only to be hoped he holds his form better for this yard, as his mark is potentially lenient; in touch, travelled as well as any (looked well suited by drop back in trip), forced to switch 2f out, effort soon after, ran on; certainly worth chancing next time.

showed the benefit of his reappearance run, shaping as if as good as ever, leaving the impression this wasn't enough of a stamina test even ridden closer to the pace than usual, quirky though he is at the best of times; mid-field, outpaced halfway, best work finish.
