A fillies listed race that rather fell apart with 3 of the top 4 in the market failing to run their race, the other of that quartet not needing to be her best to come out on top; the pace was good without being overly strong, an ordinary overall time and closing sectional adding weight to this being a below-par renewal.

GLENARTNEY confirmed the improvement shown at York, her stamina coming to the fore back down in trip; in touch, pushed along 3f out, led when hung left over 1f out, tackled inside final 1f, stayed on well.

GOLDIE HAWK proved at least as good as ever and may well have won had things gone more smoothly, though she still had every chance to go by the winner; waited with, took strong hold, headway when not clear run 2f out, got gap over 1f out, carried left soon after, challenged inside final 1f, no extra only late on.
