An up-to-scratch renewal of the Dick Poole, though a bunched finish rather restricts the view of the form that can be taken, the runner-up arguably unlucky not to have pushed the winner closer after failing to keep straight; the gallop was sound.

JULIET SIERRA looked an interesting runner having run subsequent York nursery winner Streets Of Gold close on her debut prior to an easy win at Nottingham, but she produced a much-improved effort all the same, straightforward under pressure unlike the runner-up and that the difference as she always looked like holding on despite that one’s rally; handy, disputed lead 2f out, led inside final 1f, ridden out; she'll stay 7f and may yet do better still.

ALL THE TIME (IRE) probably isn’t as good as her defeat of subsequent Lowther winner Swingalong on her debut suggests but her last run has started to work out well and there’s little doubt she’s capable of winning one of these, unlucky not to have done so here, finishing strongly having wandered and lost momentum when challenging wide inside the penultimate furlong; awkward leaving stalls, in touch, ridden over 2f out, wandered badly, lost place, rallied final 1f, nearest at the finish.

TAGLINE ran right up to her best back on a straight track; mid-field, ridden 2f out, stayed on final 100 yds.

IMMORTAL BEAUTY (IRE) ran well faced with a tougher assignment than in her recent nurseries and would have finished half a length or so closer with more room late on; chased leaders, every chance 2f out, short of room well inside final 1f, one paced.

MARIA BRANWELL (IRE) didn’t find any improvement for first-time cheekpieces but didn’t seem completely at home on the fast ground; mid-field, effort over 2f out, wandered inside final 1f, kept on again final 100 yds.

FUNNY MONEY HONEY (IRE) ran respectably on her second start for her new stable, showing plenty of speed on the far rail; led, ed 2f out, no extra final 100 yds.

IVORY MADONNA (IRE) was back at 6f but took too long to get going in first-time cheekpieces, leaving the impression a step back up in trip is needed; in rear, ridden over 2f out, never nearer; will benefit from return to 7f.

MIAMI GIRL (IRE) had a somewhat in-and-out profile coming into this but didn’t derive any benefit from the step up to 6f; handy, effort 2f out, made little impression.

POETIC UNION had much more on her plate than when winning a small-field novice at Newmarket and wasn’t discredited; chased leader, every chance 2f out, outpaced final 100 yds; her win has worked out well and she may yet do better.

SONG OF SUCCESS won a race at Windsor last time that hasn’t worked out too well and looked outclassed; close up, outpaced over 1f out.

ANGE DE L'AMOUR had been progressive at a low level but never looked like taking a hand in the face of a very stiff task; dwelt, in rear, ridden 3f out, never on .

SO SLEEPY but found this quick listed company coming too soon in her development; dropped out, raced freely, pushed along over 2f out, outpaced over 1f out; she may yet do better down in grade.
