PERCY WILLIS is holding his form really well; led 3f, tracked pace after, challenged again inside final 1f, ran on.

IRON LION making all-weather debut, bounced back to form after 6 months off having ended last year with a couple of lesser efforts, having the run of the race but entitled to come on a little for the run, and he'll be particularly interesting back on turf next time ing how well he'd handled heavy ground when winning at Doncaster last August; hampered slightly start, led after 3f, quickened over 3f out, headed approaching last ½f, kept on.

BOHEMIAN BREEZE (IRE) ran respectably in yet another really slowly-run race; handy, took keen hold, not quicken over 1f out, short of room briefly soon after, not knocked about.

INCREMENTAL (IRE) looked on a potentially handy mark given the style of his Wolverhampton success 5 months earlier, and was very strong in the betting, but proved a let-down, soon apparent he was in troulbe when the pace lifted; tracked pace, not settle fully, settled in touch after 4f, hung right from 2f out, one paced; in his defence the way this developed didn't appear to suit and he may yet do better in a more truly-run affair.

CHILLHI (IRE) after 6 months off, can have this run overlooked, it likely to serve a purpose in any case, and he's not one to rule out at this sort of level now having been set some fairly tough assignments last year; in touch, outpaced around 2f out, hampered over 1f out, no chance after, finished with running left.

SONNING (IRE) settled better this time but still failed to come on for recent run; slowly into stride, raced off the pace, held when bit short of room over 1f out.

PARISH COUNCILLOR (IRE) proved to be a disappointment; soon steadied, not settle fully, left behind 2f out.
