PRYDWEN (IRE) presumably a lot fitter for recent run and with the significant advantage of Billy Loughnane's 5 lb claim (first time Prydwen's been ridden by a claimer), got back on the up, value a little extra in the circumstances; mid-field, came wide over 2f out, quickened to lead inside final 1f, won cosily.

NOLTON CROSS (IRE) probably matched the form of his latest win from a mark 7 lb higher, simply having more on his plate in this grade even though he enjoyed the run of the race; dictated, tackled under 3f out, headed inside final 1f, kept on.

PROTECTED GUEST confirmed return to form; missed the break, held up, effort around 2f out, took third final 100 yds and closed down second near line with his head typically high.

(IRE) had missed the last 4 months of the turf season but proved he retains his ability making all-weather debut after 8 months off, every chance this will take some of the freshness out of him and he'll be back to his best next time; soon steadied, not settle fully, lit up bit more when went prominent around halfway, not quicken 1f out.

BASE NOTE put his most recent run immediately behind him and is better than he could show here; in touch, denied a run under 2f out, not clear run again inside final 1f and hit over the head by rival jockey's whip, not recover and finished with running left.

EVANIA wasn't in the same form as last time, the way the race developed around a sharper track than last time perhaps not ideal, while the shortest gap she's had between races might well have been a factor too given she's clearly had her issues; tracked pace, shuffled back slightly around halfway, struggling to quicken when carried left over 1f out, left behind.
